OUR PROCEDURES
Each procedure has its advantages, and it is important to choose the right one according to each patient's needs.
Manga Gástrica
It is a surgery in which the size of the stomach is reduced to approximately 20-30% of its original size. A portion of the stomach is cut out and left in a tube or "sleeve" shape, which limits the amount of food that can be eaten and reduces hunger. It is a permanent procedure.
Gastric Balloon
A silicone balloon is placed inside the stomach using an endoscopy (without surgery). This balloon takes up space and makes the person feel full with less food. It is removed after a few months. It is a temporary weight loss option without surgery.
Gastric bypass
It's a surgery in which the stomach is reduced in size and connected directly to the small intestine, bypassing part of the normal digestive process. This causes the body to absorb fewer calories and the person to feel full faster. It's one of the most effective weight-loss procedures, but it requires more frequent medical follow-up.
